SUMMER ALPHA IS HERE! We have launched our first ALPHA course on June 2, 2022. This summer pilot is in preparation to bring this dynamic course right onto the campus of NC State in September 2022. Our target will be to invite students that are unsaved, unchurched, atheists, Hindus, Marxists, and whoever else is outside of the family of God to Alpha. As Andrew said to his brother Peter in the New Testament: “Come and See!” Alpha is invitational and relational evangelism: we are inviting young people to join us on an adventure to encounter Jesus. And next summer 2023, our plan is to take students and young adults on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic!
What is Alpha? Alpha is a 9-11 week series of discussions on the meaning of life, faith and purpose. Those outside the church are welcome to explore their beliefs in a respectful casual environment with a meal, a video on the Christian faith and a discussion. They are invited to discover who Jesus is and how they can know Him personally. We will have a retreat weekend locally on 7/15 7/17/22, and we appreciate your prayers for our guests and volunteers! …and the AMAZZZING FOOD!!! We have engaged over 30 wonderful volunteers of cooks, intercessors and small group discussion hosts and helpers who did a fabulous job! There was so much JOY on Alpha Week 1; we already see God working! Joe continues his work with Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, preparing for a new class to start in August, 2022 at Peace Presbyterian Church in Cary, NC!
